Why does my Wave 2 say it's too warm to start?Updated 10 months ago

Sometimes the app will tell you your Wave is too warm to cool. When that happens, we recommend letting it rest a bit before trying to cool again. Much like when your phone overheats, you’ll receive a notification that the device will not start until it cools down.

In these cases, it is often due to more extreme temperatures of the environment or due to prolonged use of the cooling function. These situations are usually remedied by removing the device and placing it in a cool place for a few minutes.

Factors like how warm your body is and how warm the environment is will also dictate the amount of cooling that your Wave can deliver before it needs to rest.

To get the most out of your Wave, make sure the device is exposed to the air during cooling (i.e., not covered by a sleeve) so that it can dissipate heat more easily, and store it in a cool, dry place when not in use. Another useful trick is to wear your Wave a bit loosely when you aren’t actively using it—or remove it altogether—so that it starts out cooler when you need to use it again. You can also try, when using the cooling functions, to use the cooling modes at a lower temperature and/or for a longer session so the battery does not overheat.
